My thoughts on a classmate blog

Man, i agree with this issue i think if we tax marijuana like we do with alcohol the state will make so much money. We cut off the middle man which is Mexican cartel which will save the nation millions on drug control. Also this money could be used to create new parks, new school but most important lower state and fed taxes. I never heard of anyone that died form smoking to much weed yet we have people die all the time, because of drunk driving or even over drinking.

Wait did Obama do something right ?

Hello hello , fellow readers today we are going to talk about an important topic NSA listening to our phone calls ,and spying on Americans. First lets take a look at what I found, as you could see Obama is doing something right for once. The fact the Obama is pushing congress to pass this is a step in the right direction. Do I support the Patriot Act yes and no. What I support ,and I think our government should continue doing is keep an eye on anyone who travels foreign countries; specially to hostile ones. Now some may call that "racism" but we need to keep national security. They should place certain websites as blacklisted, these websites could be bomb making , terrorist groups anything that's really anti american. We need a board to better monitor our security programs. Obama is making changes to where we could protect american freedoms and still keep our nation security. The fact that congress is looking into this shows that our government is noticing that our security programs maybe getting out of hand. As I said I support the Patriot Act but what ever we do as a nation it must ''constitutional''.

                                                                                          "what Obama is pushing for"

●Query results would be limited to two hops from the original number, and the data will be subject to privacy rules approved by the court.
●The records would remain with phone companies for the length of time they normally would keep them — there will be no mandate to hold them longer.
●The phone companies will return results on a continuous, ongoing basis.
●The companies will be compelled by court order to ensure that the results are returned in a usable format and timely manner.

As we see all the changes seem to be positive ones ,and the writer is clear on pointing out key points in Obama speech.

A re-look at "Food for thought"

Let's take a look at the last post I posted "Food for thought". It was a good argument at most ,but where are the facts ? Where does the military spending go ,and has a nation where can we better spend our defense budget? Here is a chart that shows where the defense budget has been going over the years, as you could see the numbers are quite scary. The military has started cutting back on many things such as training, flight hours for pilots, cutting down on ammunition, worn out equipment. But how can we really cut back and still everything we need in the battlefield ? Again, "Food for thought" brought up and issue Rome fell as a nation because they over expanded and cut their military. Now, lets find a wise solution first cut back on aid to all middle eastern countries. Look at those charts, a total of $299 billion was given to middle eastern nations which could have been spend on training American troops, programs to our vets, paying the national deficit. This is truly a waste of our tax dollars. Food for thought also spoke about useless projects that our military has been looking at one. Congress needs to appoint a committee which will over look these projects. If it won't truly help our troops in the battlefield all funds should be cut off. Another issue that "Food for thought" failed to address how can our allied nations help us keep world pace. The United States has expanded all over the world from a military stand point is great but i truly see a weakness is that. We need our allies to better support world security. They should provide more man power then they have in the past few years. Out of 50,000 troops about 30,000 where from the U.S why are we the ones providing so many troops? Terrorism is a world issue that needs to be addressed by Nato not just the United States. Overall "Food for thought" presented an argument but failed to shows us where the useless spending was going. So cutting back on USELESS spending will still keep our military sharp and most important keep the
American people happy.

Food for thought

America, the land of the free and brave. Lets talk about some of the meths and truths about military spending. We have our "War Hugs" that are Pro war and are all about military spending and we have your local pacifist that rather give the money to the community. I'm a vet, and i'm going to give you the perspective of a foot soldier.

Lets start off with some facts take a look at this link world super powers. Yes , we do have the biggest military budget in the world. We have people who this agree with this but let me ask you a simple question. I want you to think back to 9/11. I want you to really stop and think back what where you doing that day? what where you having for lunch, how did you even feel when America was attacked by Muslim extremists? Now, that said and done the nation supported to go to war to find and kill the enemy. We need to keep our troops safe and the truth is when we first entered the war our equipment was outdated. Our troops didn't even have body armor. Yet we are quick to send our boys to war right ?

Take another look at Chinas navy as you could see they have a larger navy then we do. Totalitarian Communist China is consumed with nationalist fervor and expansionist thirst. It is aiming to increase its Naval spending at a rate of three times its rate of GDP growth (its GDP growth is already very high). In, class i heard the comment that America is being like Rome and Rome fell due to it over extending its empire. Which is concerning, most American's are not aware we are still in a cold war era. We need to keep our borders safe.

Our economy needs to be better, our education needs reform, we need to bring industry back to the United States, and many more things need to happen. However, all of these improvements are meaningless if all of America is dead because we were invaded/attacked.
The Roman Empire cut military spending and was invaded by the Germanic tribes shortly afterward. The Song Empire of China put its military funding into the arts and was conquered by the Mongols. The Tang empire, the empire preceding the Song, put a large portion of its revenue into the military and became extremely powerful because it increased relations with the Koreans and Japanese.

We need to look at history and learn from it, the most successful empires in the world are build on a strong military. The truth is i don't know how many times we soldiers could not train because of these budget cuts. I fired my rifle maybe 5 times at most before i was shipped off to Iraq. I truly learned my job while i was in combat. The united states gets into a conflict every 10 years or so which is the reason why we have the best military; we learn on the go just like the Romans did. The reason for the United States being a world super power and having the comforts  we do today was because we had the only industrial industries after world war 2.

Military spending should be regulated better; we have equipment that completely useless. I don't know how many times i came across that. We spend millions on contracts, we should have better testing. The budget should better focused on equipment and better programs for soldiers who are coming back home. We don't need a public heath system, or wasting founds on people who are to lazy to work or have to many kids. The military creates jobs , and it should never be cut or we will fall like the Romans did!

OBAMA ONCE AGAIN HURTS AMERICANS!!!

Michelle Malkin couldn't have said it better in  her article. Michell talks about how Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz said some nasty words via twitter “Thanks for spreading the word! You’ll be eating them next year. #GetCovered.”. The fact that this policy does more harm then good is clear. The demarcates couldn't even get the website running correctly. Michelle points out what Obama-care is also effecting the job market. The Democrats campaign is based on heath care and creating jobs but look at the effect its having on the market.

"Device makers have cut back on research and development. And according to the medical device manufacturers industry group AdvaMed, the punitive tax has forced companies to lay off or avoid hiring at least 33,000 workers over the past year". - Michell Makin

In  this link you will see what a fail this system is having on the social community in twitter.
Michell Makin points out  that "every vulnerable Senate Democrat who rammed Obamacare down America’s throat is now running for the hills. When the White House now talks about the “Get Covered” campaign, it’s not about ordinary Americans getting health care. It’s about covering the backsides of the Obama water-carriers who may very well lose their jobs. They’re not just eating their words. They’re choking on Obamacare’s massive, inevitable, job-killing, life-threatening failures."

I couldn't agree more with Michelle Malkin how the democratic are trying to cover their mistakes. She is clear and dead on with her argument. She gives several links as you could see in her article form different sources supporting her statement that the democratic are in a back and forth battle with these reforms.

Target an American with drones?

Hello readers , by now you could tell I'm not a supporter of the Obama Administration but i wanted to share this article with you "Target an American with drones " The author brings a few good points its a little concerning how they are being used on Americans. One, Obama has pushed for drones strikes more then any other president but he has my support on this issue.

I'm sure by now we have heard about the NSA and CIA listening in which is a little concerning. But if they are listening in to these "Muslim Extremist" by all means. Readers are these people truly "Americans" do they value our freedoms , pride and or way of life ? The author states "U.S. officials are now debating whether to kill with a drone another American citizen who is part of al Qaeda and believed to be plotting attacks against the United States, a senior U.S. official tells CNN". Readers, We are in a time of war, and i totally agree anyone that is going to these "High Risk" areas should be investigated. The author ends his argument with that it should be under a decision to kill one of their own should also be subject to judicial review. Again, I disagree with his statement here is why. When i was overseas we had intelligence of a HVT "high value target" which was one of cell leaders of a terrorist group in Iraq. We raided his home in the middle of the night, but couldn't question him because of Iraqi law. He was later released, and caused 7 american deaths. The point is , at times we don't have time to do things by the book. If we have evidence on someone that maybe committing acts of terrorism with ties to these "Muslim Extremist" we should support our government.

America Wake Up !!!

In class we have been learning about factions and a little more about our U.S Constitution. I will start off with this is my opinion and I don’t speak for the NRA nor any political party. That being said I want to share a few things with my readers, but my fellow Americans. Military Leaders Asked If They Will Disarm Americas

This news article really had an impact on me for a few reasons. When I joined the U.S ARMY I did for one reason to protect our nation from both foreign and domestic enemies of the state. I swear to protect the United States constitution. This is not the first time I hear this come up, asking our military to fire on Americans. I never have personally been asked to do so or nor I know anyone who has.

The state by this I mean our federal Government could only enforce this though Martial Law. This is the only time active duty army units have the power to patrol American soil. The article targets how our government plans to provoke our veterans into violence to implement martial law. Our veterans have sworn to protect the United State constitution and its freedoms.
The first source I pointed out was info-wars which we all know they tend to be a little radical in their views. But I want you guys to take the time, and look into this issue, because our government and most important the media is really misinformation our fellow Americans. If you are a gun owner I strongly encourage you support the NRA. To my fellow Americans I encourage you get more involved in our local politics, but most important to protect your freedoms. The second amendment is as a last resort a means of defense to protect the people from tyranny of government- Thomas Jefferson.
